5 Journal Prompts to Start a New Month on Track
I am such a fan of "new something", I get so excited to start a new day, a new week or whatever. What I have been doing consistently this year is planning my month and making sure that I do my best. I was doing it last year but I had no direction and I was not consistent.
The first day of a new month is a good opportunity to check in with yourself and figure out what areas of your life need improvement.
In this post I am going to share five prompts that you can use to plan your month and check in with yourself.
1. How was last month?
If you had any goals for last month, this is where you would check whether you achieved them or not. Things you are proud of, things you are not happy about, just pour your feelings out and be honest with yourself.
2. How do you feel about each area of your life (work, relationships, health, side hustles, love, parenting etc)?
This is very important because it gives you an opportunity so see where you have been lacking, where you are doing good. You also get an opportunity to come up with ideas on what you can do to make that specific area better.
3. What habits/behaviors do you want to change or maintain?
You are what you repeatedly do and being able to identify habits that are not beneficial is important in order for you to change and adopt new behavior that bring you closer to who you want to be. Be honest about how they are affecting your life.
4. What are your goals for this new month?
When the month ends, how do you want to feel? Describe it and the actions that will lead you to the feeling. What things do you want to have achieved or improved on?
5. What is your theme (intention) for this month?
This is one word that will be the end goal of all your actions. For example - If your word is "love" that means everything you do must stem from love and end in love. This will help you in your daily actions in terms of knowing what is important to you and whether something is worth your time or not.
I did upload different prompts on my Instagram but these one's are more straightforward and give you the opportunity to go within yourself and find answers. I hope they make a difference in your life and help you get closer to being the best version of yourself. Let's all have an awesome May.
